The Chicago Bears have been one of the surprise teams of this NFL season. Not many predicted the Bears to be competing for the NFC North division back in August. Despite their strong start to the season, the Bears underperformed in their primetime game last night, losing 24-10 to the Los Angeles Rams.
With two interceptions and no touchdowns, Bears’ QB Nick Foles was unable to jumpstart the offense. The exceptional punting from Rams’ punter Johnny Hekker did not make it any easier. Foles started five of his drives inside his own 10 yard line.
SportsCastr News NFL’s Lawrence Owen and Ray Rauth were correct in expecting a low scoring game. The points total for the game was set at 44.5. On their SportsCastr pregame stream, Lawrence’s prediction, 23-13, was nearly the exact score of the game.
The SportsCastr team also discussed the Rams offensive success. While not a massive game, Jared Goff finished with 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Rams backfield combined for 121 yards on 25 carries.
In his postgame SportsCastr stream, Lawrence also broke down the injuries of Week 8. Odell Beckham Jr. and Andy Dalton are two of the more important players that went down with varying degrees of seriousness. While Dalton should return soon, OBJ will miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear. From injuries to game coverage and everything in between, the SportsCastr News NFL team will continue to cover the top stories in the league.
