There is always a lack of basketball news in between the NBA Finals and the beginning of free agency. This shortened offseason has been no different. Luckily, NBA fans were blessed today with the leaks of multiple team jerseys for next season.
SportsCastr News NBA’s Adam Armbrecht and Matt Brooks scrolled through some of the jersey leaks in their stream. Starting with the Nets, both Adam and Matt were complimentary of the unique style that hasn’t been seen in other jerseys. While some of the leaks featured cool colors or bright designs, the Nets Jean-Michel Basquiat design is truly entirely different from any other jersey.
Up next were the Portland Trail Blazers leaked jerseys. Featuring a dark background with a distinct Oregon font, fans on Twitter were excited to see a “City” jersey that truly represented their team’s state. On their SportsCastr stream, Matt and Adam also discussed the leaked jerseys of the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans. Devin Booker and Zion Williamson are sure to turn heads in their colorful new duds.
Outside of jersey discussion, the SportsCastr stream also dissected the recent scheduling news in the NBA. There were reports on Wednesday that many players prefer the season to start in January, around MLK day. This would be later than the league’s intended start of late December.
Regardless of proposed start dates, NBA fans should feel truly blessed to have a season of basketball. A few months ago, it seemed unlikely that we would be able to see LeBron James and Jimmy Butler battling in the NBA Finals. Even if it starts later than anticipated, it won’t be long until we get to see the 2020-2021 season of the NBA.Tags: Basquiat, Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Devin Booker, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jimmy Butler, LeBron, LeBron James, MLK, NBA, NBA Draft, NBA Finals, NBA Free Agency, NBA Offseason, Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, Oregon, Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, SCN, SCN NBA, SCNNBA, SportsCastr, SportsCastr News, Suns, Trail Blazers, Zion, Zion Williamson Last modified: October 29, 2020
