Heading into Thursday night, the Titans were the leaders in the AFC South. Following a miraculous run in last year’s playoffs, they opened the season at 5-0 with a commanding lead in their division. After last night’s performance, the Titans have now lost three out of their last four and are tied in the division with the Indianapolis Colts.
In their pregame stream, SportsCastr News NFL’s Adam Armbrecht, Lawrence Owen, and Ray Rauth were looking forward to the divisional battle. Lawrence pointed out his feeling that the Colts are disrespected in the media while the Titans have been talked up all year, despite their recent losses. Last night’s performance from Indianapolis perhaps proved Lawrence’s point.
The Colts renowned defense showed up in last night’s match-up. Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill finished the game with only 147 yards through the air and his top target, AJ Brown, was held to one catch for 21 yards. It wasn’t enough for the Colts to hold the Titans scoreless in the second half: a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by Indy sealed the 34-17 victory.
On their SportsCastr stream, Lawrence Owen called out the Philip Rivers haters after his solid performance. With 308 yards and one touchdown, Rivers proved that his consistency can drag the Colts to decisive victories. Colts running back Nyheim Hines continued his hot play of late with over 100 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.
Both teams will be granted much-needed rest before two key Week 11 games: the Colts will host the Green Bay Packers while the Titans will travel to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Week 12 will feature a rematch between these two teams. The SportsCastr News NFL team, especially Lawrence, will be looking forward to November 29th to see another battle between the rivals.Tags: AFC, AFC South, AJ Brown, Baltimore Ravens, Colts, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, Lamar, Lamar Jackson, NFL, Nyheim, Nyheim Hines, Packers, Philip Rivers, Ravens, Rivers, Ryan Tannehill, SCN, SCN NFL, SportsCastr, SportsCastr News, Tannehill, Tennessee Titans, Thursday Night Football, Titans, TNF Last modified: November 13, 2020
