After weeks of rumors, the NBA’s offseason will be starting for real this week. On Monday, the moratorium is lifted, which allows teams to officially announce trades. With an uncertain draft and a shortened season, this offseason will be extremely unprecedented.

SportsCastr News NBA’s Adam Armbrecht and Keith McPherson prepared themselves for the action this morning. At the forefront of their discussions was the possibility of the Brooklyn Nets adding another star. If Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant wasn’t already enough, the Nets are in talks to acquire Rockets superstar James Harden.

On their SportsCastr stream, as evidence of this potential Harden move, Keith jokingly cited that the Nets would be getting rid of forward Dzanan Musa. Just like Harden, Musa wears the number 13. This might be the final obstacle that prevented Harden from joining the Nets!

Immediately after their SportsCastr stream concluded, Chris Paul was officially traded to the Suns from the Thunder. Paul will join Kentucky product Devin Booker as he tries to reach the playoffs for the first time in his career. Paul’s leadership will be vital for a young Phoenix team.

The CP3 trade will not be the last blockbuster trade of the offseason. Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Zach Lavine are just a few other names that may be on the move. The SportsCastr News NBA team will continue their coverage leading up to Wednesday’s NBA Draft.
