Week 11 Recap: Joe Burrow Goes Down & Cowboys Back in the Hunt

Week 11 in the NFL did not disappoint. With upsets throughout the day and massive playoff implications, certain races are only tightening as we approach the playoffs. As we have seen in this COVID season, the unexpected stories and plays never stop in today’s NFL.

SportsCastr News NFL’s Joe Noobo, Keith McPherson, Lawrence Owen, and Ray Rauth had the Sunday preview stream yesterday. The team discussed some of the top games in the week. Keith McPherson was correct to point out that he did not trust some of today’s favorites, at least for betting purposes.

The Ravens and the Patriots were two 1 o’clock favorites that did not meet expectations. Derrick Henry ran wild wild versus Baltimore, keeping the divisional hopes alive for the Titans. Deshaun Watson could not be slowed down by the Patriots defense, most likely eliminating New England from the playoff hunt.

At 4 o’clock, Keith McPherson’s Cowboys finally showed the potential we heard about at the start of the season. Andy Dalton found a connection with Ceedee Lamb while Ezekiel Elliott reminded us why he received such a massive contract. After their upset versus the Vikings, the Cowboys are now a game back from the divisional lead in the NFC East. The SportsCastr News NFL team will be closely monitoring this race in the coming weeks.

In the worst news of the day, Bengals QB Joe Burrow suffered from a suspected torn ACL in a loss to the Washington Football Team. While his diagnosis isn’t clear yet, the former first overall pick tweeted out after the game that he would miss the rest of the season. For now, the Bengals rebuild will be put on hold while they wait for their supposed franchise quarterback. The SportsCastr News NFL team expressed deep regret that Cincinnatti was unable to protect their future star. All members of the NFL will be rooting for Joe Burrow to make a swift recovery.
