The James Harden saga has continued past the weekend, which marks a clear problem for the Houston Rockets. As training camp continues, the situation in Houston grows murkier by the day. Will their star guard return or is he destined for greener pastures?
SportsCastr News NBA’s Adam Armbrecht analyzed the rumors and possible landing spots for Harden. Since starting his career in Oklahoma City with Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, the ball-dominant guard has been a consistent MVP frontrunner after joining the Rockets in 2012. Throughout the offseason, NBA fans have been left wondering whether Houston intends to rebuild or continue their quest for a title.
On his SportsCastr stream, Adam mentioned the Brooklyn Nets as one possible landing spot for Harden. Because of the rumors that Harden would like to join a contender, a trio of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden would immediately be one of the Finals favorites. The Philadelphia 76ers are another team rumored to be involved in the Harden sweepstakes.
Now with the 76ers, former Rockets GM Daryl Morey may intend to reunite with his longtime star. In Philly, a trio of Harden, Ben Simmons, and Joel Embiid would again emerge as an immediate Finals contender. After Russell Westbrook’s move to the Eastern Conference, it seems as though Harden may be on his way as well.
The SportsCastr News NBA team will be closely monitoring Harden’s whereabouts over the next several days. Perhaps the former MVP is simply taking a much-needed vacation before showing up late to the Rockets camp. The more likely story is that Harden has been put on the trade market, and will be wearing a new jersey in 2021.Tags: 76ers, Ben Simmons, Brooklyn Nets, Daryl Morey, Durant, Embiid, Harden, Houston Rockets, James Harden, Joel Embiid, KD, Kevin Durant, Morey, NBA, Nets, OKC Thunder, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Rockets, Russell Westbrook, SCN, SCN NBA, Sixers, SportsCastr, SportsCastr News, SportsCastr News NBA, Thunder, Westbrook Last modified: December 8, 2020
